Description

Golden and crispy, these Air Fryer Hash Browns are the perfect breakfast side without the grease. Made with just a few ingredients and cooked to perfection in the air fryer, they’re crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside—ready in minutes with minimal cleanup.


Ingredients

  • 2 large Russet potatoes, peeled and shredded
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (avocado or vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp garlic powder, chopped herbs, or grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel and shred potatoes. Soak in cold water for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Drain and squeeze out excess moisture using a towel or cheesecloth.
  3. In a bowl, mix potatoes with oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil.
  6. Spread shredded potatoes in a thin layer or form into patties.
  7. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
  8. Let rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.
